PPS#70 | A Special One

Updated: Feb 24, 2021

When I started sharing these posts a lot of it was based on what I was feeling or thinking. I hadn’t thought ahead, I just really enjoy writing. To make #70 different I’d like to share what nourishes my deep appreciation for creativity and imagination.

1. Have one simple thing you like doing for no particular reason.

I like crossing things out when writing. It gives me a moment to do nothing.

2. I really like water bodies and natural sources of light. Wherever we are in the world, we have the sun and the stars, even if it’s for a few hours.

3. Listening to musicians talk about topics that are not related to music.

4. Jonna Jinton, a Swedish YouTuber who exceptionally knows how to give special value to light. Some people really are gifts to the world, and Jonna is a gift to us.

5. Silence. The darkness intrigues me and frightens me. But the still part about darkness is what I like the most.

by Melodysheep. His musical and visual work is tremendously amazing.

Have you ever listened to the hypothetical sound of black holes merging? If I could describe it, it would be addictive and eerie.

Binary black hole mergers send out powerful gravitational waves that resonate throughout the universe.

“… [Having] a very characteristic song.

A ringing of space

An actual wave on space time.”

6. When we talk about loss. I think that the world gives us more than it takes. I admire that our world is very much alive and living. More alive than we think it is. Trees communicate with one another, which I’ll be writing about in the coming weeks.

7. I would love to experience a meteor shower.

8. I really like creatures that fly. I funnily imagine that we humans would be cumbersome if we could fly. I think that our plight would end up like the dodo.

9. I would like to learn something new.

10. My earrings are small dragonflies at the moment.

11. Nice perfume.

12. Billie Eilish’s mom, Maggie saying that “It is a horrible time to be a teenager, kids are depressed.” Not only kids but a large majority of everyone. Which is a reason to create.

13. Watch LIFE BEYOND: Chapter 1. Alien life, deep time, and our place in cosmic history by Melodysheep.

There is an estimated 37. 2 trillion cells in an adult body. While the Milky Way is one of an estimated 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. It is very probable that life exists other than in our galaxy.

Also, the images that the Hubble Space Telescope make accessible to the public are breathtaking. My favourite line from a nursery rhyme as a child was Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are? Now, there is so much more to wonder on.

14. Remembering books and film I hold dear which are The Rice Mother by Rani Manicka, Cosmos by Carl Sagan, and Gorillas in the Mist.

It is only recently that I realised how much I like writing, and that it makes me feel better. It’s an outlet for many things and ideas; I am always so excited to share them. I am also looking forward to the coming years, because this is only the beginning.
